Danuta Pol-Stralkowski Works Deutsch

Danuta Pol-Stralkowski was born in Warsaw in 1953. After graduating from the international trade faculty at the Academy of Economics she attended the Academy of Arts. In 1981 she left Poland for Austria, where, in 1986, she was granted Austrian citizenship. In 1991 she was awarded a Medal for Special Merits in Art and Culture.
Her paintings are full of intrinsic impressionism. Her major works include portraits, ballet and flowers created with various techniques.
The softness of the colour scheme in her works reflects the artist´s nature. Her paintings of meadows show her love for nature and at the same time they convey an utopian atmosphere of silence and safety. In her poppy pictures one can almost feel the lightness of butterfly´s wings.

Danuta Pol-Stralkowski runs her own art gallery in Dürnstein open every year from April through November.
