ART RITICISM  AUSTRIAN ART

AICA, interational society of art critics (association internationale des critiques d`art), generalsecretary in Paris, national sections in 60 countries all over the world with app. 4.000 members. Founded in 1948/49 AICA is a NGO of UNESCO since 1951. Members are artcritics and artwriters who are publishing at least for 5 years either in newspapers, radio, TV, in artmagazines, catalogues and/or artbooks.

A generalassembly is held every year in one of the membercountries where a symposium about an actual theme of contemporary art takes place as well. Twice a year newsletters are published and the national sections are organising theoretical and practical actions about contemporary art.
