Marek Jerzy Nowakowski

Marek Jerzy Nowakowski was born in 1963 in Bydgoszcz.
He studied at Poznan Academy of Fine Arts and graduated under prof. Józef Kopczynski in 1991.

As he strongly believes in the solid artistic base and in lasting materials he choses to work exclusively in bronze. His works, not exceeding 40 centimetres in height, are produced using loosing wax technology. He handle the entire process himself and his sculptures are cast in his own atelier in an electric moulding stove.

He is living in a country in Wielkopolska Region with his family since 1990.

1991 - exhibition "Cage" - Ewa Polony Gallery in Poznan

1991 - take part in exhibition - "Flik" Gallery in Warsaw

1991 - renovation of ceramic sculptures from Park in Nowy Tomysl

1992 - indyvidual exhibition in "Flik" Gallery in Warsaw - :"Bats and Fishes"

1994 - indididual exhibition in "Flik" Gallery in Warsaw - "Masks"

1996 - realization of the altar for the church in Swiecie (near Bydgoszcz) - - bas-relief of bronze - 4 m high. Participatiopn with Michal Kubiak

1997 - Sculpture Salon - Spring 1997 in Warsaw - silver medal for sculpture "Face to Earth"

1998 - renovation of gypsum figures from the elevation of monumental tenementhouse in Nowy Tomysl

1998 - realization of commemorating plate - bas-relief of bronze for Nowe Kramsko

1999 - individual exhibition in PPA Bank in Poznan

1999 - take part in Sculpture Salon - Spring 1999 in Warsaw

1999 - realization of Fryderyk Chopin's statue (bust) in Nowy Tomysl

1999 - realization of commemorating plate - bas-relief of bronze for the parish house in Kozuchów

1999 - take part in III. Triennal of Self-portrait - Radom 2000

2000 - take part in XII. Biennal of Sculpture in Poznan - Small Sculptures Forms

2001 April - individual exhibition in Berliner Botanic Museum
